Our Client a leading logistics company in Brampton is looking for a Sr. Payroll Specialist to join them on a 6 month contract with a view to becoming permanent and stepping into the Payroll Manager position. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in a fast moving and ever growing environment. Responsibilities: * Processing bi-weekly payroll for hourly and third-party contractors. * Entering invoices and issuing fuel rates for all provinces as per our collective agreement. * Handling daily payroll queries related to hourly, salary and third-party operator Payroll. * Processing bi-weekly records of employment for all our hourly and salaried employees and updating their records in Kronos. * Handling Service Canada and Workers compensation requests for payroll information. * Handling 3rd party payments such as garnishes and union dues on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. * Updating new hires in Kronos and providing them with access to biometrics. * Updating all payroll related details for new hires in WFN. * Ad hoc projects Qualifications: * 3 - 5 years in a payroll function running the payroll end to end * Completion or working towards PCP * Software knowledge of Workforce Dimension and Workforce Now * Strong excel skills (including basic formulas - VLOOKUP, pivot table, IF functions, etc.) and experience in using Access software * Year-end payroll experience including T4s, audit reporting and remittances etc * Able to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines * Strong communicator comfortable being employee facing in a diverse and fast paced environment * Analytical and detail focused If you are interested in this opportunity and meet the requirements, please submit your resume for consideration. 48596SKINDCAP
